On this Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we celebrate & stand in gratitude for these Earth stewards who sustain our connection to our roots, to the source of our humanity 🌺

The Center for Shamanic Education and Exchange is dedicated to supporting Indigenous-led projects that sustain these lifeways — from the Wixarika in Mexico to the Kogi Nation in Colombia, the Mayan communities of Guatemala, the Huni Kui in Brazil, the Siona and Shipibo Conibo in the Amazon, & others🌞

Through these partnerships, we help ensure that traditional songs, languages, and spiritual practices continue to flourish — carried forward by the communities themselves✨🕊️

Water, the life giver, is elementally powerful, creating, destroying, transforming.

Shape shifting in her many forms, She is beauty, as she reflects, flows, gushes, solidifies, evaporates, condenses, drips, rains. Nourishing, seeping, soaking, carving,
Water embodies the literal ebbs and flows of energy.

She can cleanse and purify, or dissolve and destroy.
She is grace and play. She is strength and force.

We gather to honor and celebrate her with our voices of praise, song, and love💧

Your last chance to see this beautiful show of Indigenous art from the Shipibo Conibo, of the Ucayali river basin in Peru, from the Kogi holy women of the high mountains of northern Colombia, and from the Wixáritari Huichol of the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range of Central Mexico.
