Kick Sugar Strategy
This will be a multi part strategy so you can choose which suits you best. Keep in mind, life begins outside our comfort zone so don't go easy if you truly have sugar issues. It's YOUR LIFE!
Remove from the pantries, refrigerator, shelves ALL boxes of processed food items, cake/baking mixes, cookies, sugar, baked good, soda, starch items, syrups. For some this will be tricky with family however try to enroll them for a couple of weeks.
Drink Water. At minimum 12 glasses (96 ounces) per day (from the time you wake up till bedtime). First thing in the morning drink minimum 16 ounces, preferably 32 at one time. During the day anytime you want to put something in your mouth, drink 8 ounces of water. Finish water by bedtime.
When your hungry, EAT, when you're full STOP. Start with breakfast, Water, 2-3 eggs (protein), 2-3 bacon (fat), cottage cheese, fresh fruit (melon/strawberries/blueberries - no sugar added), no bread, no starches. If you're going to go cold turkey drop the fruit. An alternative, in a blender add 1 banana, spring water,1 raw egg, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, ice to thicken as desired. (This will give you all the nutrients you need). If you can hold off an hour after you wake that's good.
You're eating window should only be 8 hours, examples 10am-6 pm, Anytime after...drink water
Focus on your dreams, your perfect life. Do the littlest things to move in that direction. New wardrobe (go window shopping), great body (start walking, use resistance bands), have gratitude (appreciate what you do have, be present)
Optional....I personally take a gallon jug, add 12 cups of water and 3 tsp of celtic sea salt, (1 tsp per 4 cups). It is loaded with minerals, detoxes blood. I consume/jug 32 ounces first thing in the am. Before I go to sleep I make sure I drink the rest of the water Note: It will flush the toxins from the overnight sleep.
Put notes on the refrigerator, cabinets, bathroom mirrors to remind yourself to quit sugar. Mine is "Sugar is Rat Poison" - "Sure you want it?"
When you consume the water it will fill you up, begin hydration, cleanse your body. I was never a big water drinker so this was the hardest part. I felt as though I consumed a cow for days. My sugar cravings stopped in 3 days, keeping in mind I also used the sea salt. I also did not go cold turkey and my diet consisted of breakfast (sometimes with potatoes), sometimes lunch (mostly not hungry), dinner consisted of romaine salad with grilled chicken. olives, avocado, tomato, sour cream, chopped onion, chopped celery, maybe a tablespoon of blue cheese dressing (Vinegar and oil is ok too). I'm very cognitive of my pinned up notes.
