Hello everyone, I’m Dr. Emelda,
Today, I want to talk directly to the men about something very important your heart health.
Men, we often hear, I’m fine. I feel okay.” But feeling okay doesn’t always mean everything is okay.
When was the last time you checked your blood pressure, cholesterol, or blood sugar?
Taking care of your heart doesn’t have to be complicated. Start with simple daily habits.
🥗 Eat well. Choose more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, nuts, healthy fats, and less heavily processed food.
🚶🏽♂️ Keep moving. Walking, exercising, dancing, or any regular physical activity can support your heart.
😴 Get enough sleep. Your body and heart need proper rest.
🧘🏽♂️ Manage your stress. Men, you don’t have to carry everything silently. Talk to someone, take breaks, and make time to relax.
🚭 Avoid smoking and keep alcohol moderate or avoid it.
💊 What About Vitamins and Nutrients?
Certain nutrients are important for normal heart and overall health, including:
🐟 Omega-3 fatty acids found naturally in fatty fish and some other foods.
🌿 Magnesium supports normal muscle, nerve, and heart function.
☀️ Vitamin D important for overall health, particularly when you are deficient.
🥬 B vitamins, including folate, B6, and B12 play important roles in normal metabolism and blood health.

Remember, supplements are not a replacement for a healthy lifestyle or medical care. Not everyone needs the same supplements, and some can interact with medications. Talk with your healthcare provider before starting supplements, especially if you have a heart or kidney condition or take prescription medications.
And men, please know your numbers. Check your blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar regularly.
Your family needs you. Your future needs you. And your heart needs you too. ❤️
