Monday is International Overdose Awareness Day. According to the CDC, overdose deaths in the U.S. decreased nearly 14% from 2024 to 2025. That's definitely progress, but there's still work to do! If you're interested in learning more about resources and recovery, you can attend "Gathered in Grace". This free event includes overdose response training, survivor testimonials, and recognition for officers who've helped save people from overdosing. It's Monday (8/31/26) from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Abba's House (5208 Hixson Pike).

So blessed to be able to attend Alliance for Recovery Community and Healing-ARCH First Annual International Overdose Awareness Event!! It was a beautiful day to increase awareness and honor loved ones that have been impacted by an overdose. The release of the 🦋 butterflies was a very moving and powerful way to honor the loved ones lost.
