Happy 5th gotcha day, Sikya! Sorry I didn’t make it to the barn today! You’re the best horse I could’ve ever asked for!

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about why I keep coming back to horses.

I’ve had plenty of periods in my life where horses weren’t the easiest thing to fit in.

Life gets busy. Jobs change. Circumstances change. Priorities change.

And now, obviously, I’m learning a whole new version of “busy.” 😂

But every time life changes, I seem to find my way back to the horses.

There’s something about being around them that makes me slow down.

You can’t really rush through working with a horse. You have to pay attention to what they’re telling you. You have to notice the little changes in their expression, movement, posture, tension, and behavior.

And I think that’s part of why I love equine bodywork so much.

It’s not just about doing something to a horse.

It’s about learning to pay attention to the horse in front of you.

Where are they holding tension?

What are they telling you?

What changes when you give them space, patience, or a different approach?

I’m still learning. I suspect I always will be.

But that’s one of my favorite things about horses.

There’s always something else to learn.

And after six years of Wanderlust Equine Bodywork, I’m still wandering. 🐴💜

Reintroducing myself and my business as a lot has changed since I embarked on this journey 6 years ago.

I’m a Colorado horsewoman, animal lover, and the person behind Wanderlust Equine Bodywork.

I specialize in equine bodywork and holistic horse care, with services including massage, T-Touch, aromatherapy, and other complementary approaches. I also offer horseback riding lessons and enjoy helping horse owners better understand and care for their horses.

I’m a lifelong animal enthusiast with a small menagerie of my own, and I’m always learning something new.

Follow along for horses, bodywork, riding, animal care, and the occasional bit of animal chaos. 🐴

✨ A new chapter for Wanderlust.

Over the past year, my life has changed in some amazing ways—including welcoming my daughter, Kyra! 💕

As I’ve grown, so have my businesses. Instead of splitting my time between multiple pages, I’m bringing everything together here.

You’ll still see equine bodywork, but you’ll also get behind-the-scenes of the mobile petting zoo, farm life, entrepreneurship, and the occasional glimpse into life balancing it all.

I’m excited to have you along for the journey!

2025 was a year of learning, listening, and growing — both for me and the horses I’m honored to work with.
2026 is already shaping up to bring deeper connection, improved spaces, and new opportunities to serve this community.
I’m excited for what’s ahead. 🤍

Fun fact Friday did you know that horses can be left or right dominant hoofed just like humans have a favorite/dominant hand?
