As we head into the holiday season, it’s important to remember that this time of year isn’t easy for everyone. For those who are grieving, feeling isolated, or simply overwhelmed, small gestures of care can make a big difference.

Instead of saying “Let me know what you need,” try offering specific support like:
✅ “I’m running errands later—can I grab you something?”
✅ “I made extra food. Can I drop some off tomorrow?”
✅ “Want company? Or just someone to sit with?”

These simple, intentional words can help someone feel seen and supported.💜

Let’s show up for each other this season.

Canada has officially lost its measles elimination status, and the United States could be next if cases continue to climb. Countries are at risk of losing their elimination status if an outbreak strain of the same virus persists for at least 12 months.

The most effective way to stop the spread of measles and achieve community immunity is through high vaccination rates – two doses of the MMR vaccine is 97% effective in preventing measles.

But when inflammation becomes chronic, it can lead to health issues like arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease.

Mayo Clinic expert Tara Schmidt, RDN, lead dietitian for the Mayo Clinic Diet, explains how the foods you eat can play a big role in managing inflammation.
