This year has been teaching me the importance of inviting in fun and play — and the deep sacredness within these energies that so often get downplayed or ignored.

We tend to treat fun as a reward, something to be earned once the hard work is done. But it belongs to a whole and balanced life all on its own. It is essential — for wholeness, for balance, for a life that holds the difficult “lifing” things and the delight.

So this summer, I am going to let myself be silly, spontaneous, and alive. Blowing bubbles. Enjoying the adult kiddie pool in the backyard. Watching fireworks light up the sky. Finding a great sunset spot in the city. I just may find a good swing set to enjoy as well.

I am honored to have been featured by in their recent Community Highlights. 💜

We talked about the winding path that brought me to this work — how healing is a spiral, not a straight line, and how the struggles I have walked through have not been obstacles to the work but have become woven into it.

We also talked about what this practice is: trauma-informed integrative healing that holds clinical depth and earth-based wisdom together, because real healing has always asked for both.

This is the season of fullness — when the light reaches its peak and the intentions that took form in spring come into full bloom. In the old traditions, this turning point was marked with fire and gratitude for the abundance of the season.

This practice invites your body into that same energy. Flowing Tree is a simple Qigong practice blending breath and movement like the tree flows with the wind.

Stumbled upon this happy little buddha at Hunte’s Gardens and had to honor in kind.

Sometimes the practice is throwing your arms up, laughing with a statue, and letting yourself embrace silliness in the middle of a tropical garden.

The sacred and the silly are not separate. Spirituality doesn’t have to be so serious all the time to hold deep meaning and reverence.

This path is all of it — joy and depth, lightness and dark, the sacred and the silly. Duality is real. Non-duality is also real. Both/And.

And in this moment, it was embracing the sacred silliness in life.

Revelation can arrive in so many different forms — those moments when something we’ve been carrying suddenly becomes clear. But revelation alone isn’t enough. A truth glimpsed in the mind doesn’t always make its way into the body. It doesn’t always change how we live.

Embodied truth is different. It’s what happens when revelation moves from the mind into the body and becomes the way we live — how we move through the world.

One can happen without the other. The work is allowing both to happen together.

A gentle invitation to notice what’s revealing itself to you right now — and to ask whether you’re ready to let it arise into a lived, embodied experience.
