We talk a lot about terpenes on this page, but what are they? When it comes to cannabis, terpenes determine the type of effects a certain strain will have — for example, if you'll feel sleepy and relaxes versus energized and creative. But terpenes aren't unique to cannabis!⁠

Terpenes are the compounds that give ALL plants their smell and flavor. When consumed along with cannabinoids like THC and CBD, they create unique effects specific to the cannabis plant, but they can also produce loads of therapeutic effects when consumed in other plants, too.⁠
