🚨 BOTOX THAT LASTS ONLY 2 WEEKS?! THE FUTURE OF AESTHETIC MEDICINE JUST CHANGED!
For decades, we’ve been trying to make Botox last LONGER. Now Allergan Aesthetics, the makers of Botox, has developed something completely different!
Meet BOEY (trenibotulinumtoxinE), a new botulinum toxin that can start working in as little as 8 HOURS and typically wears off in just 2–3 WEEKS!
Unlike traditional Botox, which uses botulinum toxin Type A, BOEY uses Type E.
Imagine trying a wrinkle-relaxing treatment without committing to 3–4 months of results!
🌎 WHERE IS IT APPROVED?
🇨🇦 CANADA: Approved June 22, 2026.
🇪🇺 EUROPE: Approved July 15, 2026, by the European Commission, with authorization covering all 30 European Economic Area countries.
🇺🇸 UNITED STATES: NOT FDA APPROVED as of October 26, 2026.
The FDA issued a Complete Response Letter in April 2026 identifying manufacturing-related concerns, not safety or efficacy deficiencies. A U.S. approval date has not been announced.
Currently, BOEY is approved in Europe specifically for moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows in qualifying adults.
📊 WHAT DOES THE SCIENCE SHOW?
In two major clinical studies, 72.6% of BOEY-treated patients achieved at least a two-grade improvement in frown lines by Day 7, compared with just 0.5% receiving placebo.
But remember, shorter duration does NOT mean zero risk. Eyelid drooping, eyebrow drooping, and other complications remain possible.
After 25+ years treating faces with injectables, lasers, and advanced aesthetic technologies, I find this fascinating.
We’ve spent years chasing LONGER-lasting results. Now we’re entering an era of faster, shorter, more personalized treatments.
But is this truly the future of aesthetics, or are we turning medical procedures into beauty treatments for special occasions?
