I was recently invited to contribute to a HuffPost article about the mixed feelings a lot of us have when rooting for Team USA while feeling frustrated with the U.S. government.

It sparked some really thoughtful conversations, and I realized there was more I wanted to say about what’s actually happening psychologically when we’re holding two truths at the same time.

So I wrote a fuller take on my blog, expanding on the idea of cognitive dissonance and what it looks like to hold complexity without forcing yourself into tidy answers.
