A lot of pelvic floor symptoms get brushed off as “normal,” but that doesn’t mean you have to just live with them. 🌿
Things like leaking with coughing or exercise, pelvic heaviness, or ongoing tension and discomfort can sometimes be signs that the pelvic floor isn’t functioning as well as it could.
Here are a few symptoms people commonly ignore:
✔️ Leaking during coughing, running, or workouts → Your pelvic floor should help manage pressure and support control during movement.
✔️ Pelvic pressure or heaviness → That dragging or heavy feeling after long days or exercise may be a sign your muscles need better support and coordination.
✔️ Ongoing pain or tension → Pelvic floor dysfunction isn’t always weakness. Sometimes the muscles are too tight, overactive, or have trouble relaxing properly.
Pelvic floor physical therapy focuses on how these muscles work together with the rest of your body to improve coordination, comfort, confidence, and everyday movement. 💪
