I was feature by Austin Group Psychotherapy Society for their Board Member spotlight! Check it out!
AGPS BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Kayle Evans, LCSW-S, LCDC, ADS, is a Central-Austin-based private practice psychotherapist who also serves as a Member-At-Large for AGPS. Kayle’s approach to therapy is a mind, body and soul process of healing wherein clients work to have access to more of themselves.
Working in both individual and group formats, Kayle sees clients with a variety of issues. Her most common areas of concern are: substance use-related issues, recovery, eating issues, life transitions, work and career issues, burnout, chronic stress, depression, anxiety, and bipolar illness. Currently, she is running a weekly group for people interested in exploring their relationships with substance use.
Using a relational approach in her work, Kayle believes that deeper connection to self and others is the key to a healthy life. In addition to utilizing top-down approaches, Kayle incorporates bottom-up holistic and Eastern-minded approaches to therapy. Currently, she is completing NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) training to better serve clients with developmental trauma. Her own experience with meditation as well as her certification as a yoga instructor give her a unique blend of skills to improve the overall health and well-being of her clients.
To support the efforts of reducing the spread of COVID 19, Kayle is providing telehealth for both group and individual clients. Currently, she has a few slots reserved for frontline healthcare workers that are needing immediate sessions on a short or long-term bases.
When she isn’t practicing as a therapist, Kayle is outside with her two dogs or exploring new places and culture through travel.
