Functional Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky with Dr. Robin Meek.

Dr. Robin Meek, MD is an internist in Lexington, KY and has over 40 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated from West Virginia University in 1984. She is affiliated with Baptist Health Lexington.

Due to her own health struggle with autoimmune disease, Dr. Meek sought solutions outside of conventional medicine to improve her condition. Through that journey, she became familiar with the Institute for Functional Medicine and has since completed the educational requirements for certification from IFM.

Functional Medicine has been transformative in the way she addresses medical problems and health. Instead of treating disease, her focus is on creating health, using food as medicine and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Instead of just putting a label on a patient’s symptoms and trying to minimize them with medication, her focus is finding the root cause and working with the patient to return them to health. Autoimmune disease, gut health and athletic performance are her main interests.
