Club volleyball season is almost here. Does your athlete know where their body is vulnerable?

Most injuries don't come out of nowhere. They come from small compensations that build up jump after jump, landing after landing.

On Sunday, Oct. 25, ADAPT Training in Beaverton is hosting a free Athlete Testing Day for volleyball players ages 9–18, all levels.

We'll test how each athlete moves and look for where their body may be compensating. We'll also measure vertical jump, single-leg broad jump and pro shuttle.

You'll get a personal results report within a week, so you know what to train next. Parents can watch the whole thing from our crow's nest.

Check-in 9:45 a.m. | We start at 10:00 sharp
9923 SW Arctic Dr, Beaverton

Limited to 30 athletes. Register free by Fri., Oct. 23 (link in bio), or call or text 503.755.8558.

Members: your kids and grandkids are welcome. Tag a volleyball family who'd want this.

More sports are coming. This is the first of several athlete testing days.

A knee injury is not just a knee injury.

It’s the way you’ve been compensating for it. It’s your history as an athlete. It’s the part of you that keeps pushing through it.

Kandice Vinson, our Director of Therapy, explains why a Performance Therapy evaluation at ADAPT looks at your whole body and not just the spot that hurts. That means posture photos, gait analysis and a full movement assessment, so your plan fits you and the life you want to get back to.

Whether that’s hiking a big mountain or getting back on your snowboard.

It’s PT Month at ADAPT. Call or text 503.755.8558 to schedule your PT evaluation.

October is Physical Therapy Awareness Month.

We're starting with one question: what do you want to get back to?

A Saturday hike, a morning run before work, getting down on the floor with the grandkids and back up again without pain.

That's where good physical therapy starts, and where ours is built to finish.

All month we're answering your PT questions. Drop yours in the comments or send us a message.

If pain is already changing how you move, request your Risk-Free PT Evaluation: 75 minutes, one-on-one with an ADAPT Physical Therapist. Link in bio, or call or text 503.755.8558.

Meet Reed, Our Newest ADAPT Trainer!

We’ve got a new face on the training floor! Help us give a warm ADAPT welcome to Reed, who officially joined our team this week!

Reed brings a love for competition, a passion for staying active, and plenty of energy to our team!

A few fun facts about Reed:

* He’s a HUGE Las Vegas Raiders fan!
* He’s a competitive boxer.
* He loves just about anything that gets his adrenaline going!

But what is he most excited about when it comes to joining ADAPT?

Learning from the rest of our team and, most importantly, getting to know our members and building relationships with the people who make ADAPT what it is!

We’re excited to have Reed as part of the ADAPT family and can’t wait for you all to get to know him!

Next time you see Reed on the training floor, make sure to stop by, introduce yourself, and help us welcome him to the team!

Happy Birthday, Courtney!🎉

Today we’re celebrating our Director of Training, Courtney Bryan.

For many members, Courtney is one of the first people they meet at ADAPT, someone who takes the time to understand their goals and helps them see a path forward. That care carries into her work with our clients and her leadership of our training team.

Courtney, thank you for the guidance, thought, and heart you bring to this community. We’re grateful to have you in our corner and hope today brings you plenty of reasons to smile!

Help us celebrate Courtney by leaving a birthday wish or a favorite memory with her in the comments!

HAPPY NATIONAL COACHES DAY to the best crew in Beaverton!

These people are something else. They remember your kid's name. They notice when your knee's acting up before you say a word. They know exactly when you need a push and when you need a laugh.

Because of them, our members are back on the trail, back on the court, and back on the floor with their grandkids.

That's not a workout. That's a life back. And our coaches make it happen every single day.

Coaches, we see you. We appreciate you. We're SO lucky to have you.

Drop a shoutout to your favorite ADAPT coach below. Let's flood the comments!

19 years of Kandice!

Sunday was a double celebration: Kandice’s birthday AND her 19-year ADAPTiversary!

For nearly two decades, Kandice has been part of helping our clients move forward. As our Director of Therapy and ADAPT Advanced, she helps people work toward greater strength, independence, and confidence in their everyday lives.

Behind that work are relationships with clients and families, meaningful milestones, and years of showing up for this community. We’re so grateful to have her on our team.

Happy belated birthday and happy ADAPTiversary, Kandice! Thank you for the care, knowledge, and heart you bring to ADAPT.

Help us celebrate her in the comments! Share a birthday wish, a favorite memory, or how Kandice has made a difference in your ADAPT journey.

You made this possible.

To wrap up Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month, we’re celebrating this community, and sharing Jim’s story in place of our usual Fridays with the Founder.

More than 80 members donated during our Trainer Challenge, raising $19,558 for ADAPT Advanced.

That’s enough to help more than 18 new Advanced clients begin their ADAPT journey. Funds will also help current clients purchase discounted training packages throughout the year, supporting continued progress.

And congratulations to Team Jessica, our Trainer Challenge winners! Thank you to everyone who donated, shared stories, and supported our trainers.

September may be over, but the work continues. Our Advanced team, Jessica, Sheldon, Eric, and Kandice, works with people with a wide range of backgrounds, injuries, and conditions. Some have trained with us for years. Others are just beginning.

Jim is one of those people with a story worth hearing.

After a cycling accident in September 2025 left him unable to feel or move his legs, Jim faced an uncertain future. Through his recovery, including outpatient rehabilitation and training with Jessica at ADAPT, he has worked toward everyday independence—and playing pickleball with his friends again.

Hear Jim share how faith, family, personalized training, and connection have supported his journey.

Watch his story here, and share it with someone who would appreciate hearing it.

Today we’re celebrating 2 years of Megan at ADAPT!

You’ve probably seen her behind the camera, heard from her in your inbox, or watched her help Brian stay on topic during Fridays with the Founder. Today, we’re putting her on the other side of the camera.

As our Marketing Specialist, Megan helps share what makes ADAPT special: the people, their stories, and the progress that makes a difference in their lives. From highlighting client milestones to bringing our community together for events, she gives you plenty of reasons to stay connected.

Megan, thank you for the creativity, care, and energy you bring to ADAPT and for helping tell the stories that deserve to be heard. We’re grateful to have you on this team.

Help us wish Megan a happy 2-year ADAPTiversary in the comments!

Today is the final day of Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.

To close out the month, we’re sharing a video from our Director of Therapy, Kandice, about the ADAPT Advanced Program and the impact it can have for individuals with spinal cord injuries and other neurological conditions.

ADAPT Advanced provides individualized, progressive training designed to help each client build greater strength, capability, independence, and confidence. Throughout September, we’ve had the privilege of sharing more about this program, the people it serves, and the work happening inside ADAPT every day.

Today also marks the end of our Trainer Challenge, and after a very competitive few weeks, it’s not over yet!

There is still time to donate to the ADAPT Advanced Scholarship Fund and support your favorite trainer or staff member. Donate here: https://helphopelive.org/campaign/27/ or visit the link in our bio.

After donating, email [email protected] with the name of the person you’re supporting, or stop by the front desk tomorrow to let us know.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our stories, and helped us recognize Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. Your support helps make this important work possible.
