After 20 years in aesthetics and 15 years as an injector, this opportunity feels especially full circle. One of the biggest misconceptions in aesthetics is that filler is just filler. It isn't.

Different products are designed with different textures, densities, and purposes in mind. The filler I would choose for a cheek is not necessarily the filler I would choose for the under-eye area.

The tear trough is one of the most delicate areas of the face, which means product selection matters just as much as technique. That's why treatment planning goes far beyond deciding if filler is appropriate.

It's also about deciding which product will create the most natural, balanced outcome for that specific patient. Because the product matters, but the provider's judgment matters even more.

One of the most common things we at Tehila hear from patients is:
"I don't know why I always look tired."

Many people assume the answer is under-eye filler. Sometimes it is, but often, the under-eye area is only part of the story. Volume loss, facial structure, skin quality, and cheek support can all influence how the under-eye area appears over time.

That's why we never evaluate tear troughs in isolation. The goal isn't to erase every shadow. The goal is to understand what's creating the concern in the first place and build a plan that helps you look refreshed while still looking completely like yourself because great results start with a great assessment.
