Heritage University's Medical Laboratory Science program celebrated ten new MLS professionals graduating as part of the class of 2024 during a ceremony on campus on August 16. The graduates include:

Heritage University's Medical Laboratory Science program celebrated 12 new MLS professionals graduating as part of the class of 2023 during a ceremony on campus on August 18.

The graduates include Jimmy (Loc) Cao, Harry Chin, Matthew Chua, Makalah Kerr, Jeremy Joshua Mallari, Derek Ricketson, America Sevilla and Joseph Stokes.

Before the ceremony, the graduates shared their experiences with the program's newest cohort, and some gave their families a glimpse of their studies. Heritage University congratulates the 2023 MLS Graduates.

The Heritage University Medical Laboratory Science Students in conjunction with the American Red Cross are hosting a Blood Drive on January 26th on the Heritage University Campus.

We as a nation are experience a massive blood product shortage to the point of having to triage patients for the products available.
Spencer and I traveled to the clinical laboratories that are affiliated with our program over the last couple of days. The labs store the blood products from the national supply, provide compatibility testing and distribute for patient use, the labs are very concerned. Labs that we visited that distribute blood products are all short in their supply. An example of this is one laboratory typically has 50-60 units of blood and at this time only have 11 some of which are only compatible with specific blood types.

Please spread the word that donating blood is essential to provide the level of healthcare that is expected of our system.

Heritage University's Medical Laboratory Science program celebrated 12 new MLS professionals graduating as part of the class of 2021 during a ceremony on campus on August 20.

The graduates include Erik Gilberto Acevedo, Janie O. Aguilera, Ruben Chino Bustamante, Ju-Yu Yen Chao, Allie Renee Donnell, Diana Jacqueline Figueroa, Ashley Brock Finnestad, Lauren Shaunon Graham, Kameron Gravelle, Jennifer Marie Hamel, Juana Hernandez and Eric Thomas Sulier.

Director Shawna Martin is especially proud of this year's class who persevered with their studies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the ceremony, the graduates shared their experiences with the program's newest cohort, and some gave their families a glimpse of their studies. Heritage University congratulates the MLS class of 2021.
