It is always a worthwhile endeavor to invest in your marriage.

My marriage was completely dead by any standards.

Well … except God’s standards.

We went to counseling after a lot of pressure from family and friends. God did a miracle in both of our hearts. (I know it doesn't always happen that way).

But our marriage wasn't fixed overnight. Forgiveness had to take place. Trust had to be rebuilt. We needed to understand what it practically looked like to put God first in our marriage. We needed to learn what it looked like to live for God.

My wife of 10 years told me she didn’t love me anymore. She had little hope that her feelings could be rekindled. Fear and regret gripped my heart. It choked out all hope that my marriage would survive.

BUT I was determined to get her back. My first step was going to God. Next?

"𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝, 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝."
That meant pursuing her, giving her my T-I-M-E, talking, affectionate touching, being in prayer together.

Scripture invites us to “believe” in Jesus, i.e. “to be trusting in him” moment by moment. One great scholar notes the best translation for “trust” in Jesus is to “relax” in him. What an invitation!
