Grateful for a short but incredibly meaningful trip to COSM ✨

Our facial paralysis panel brought together such an inspiring group—Scott Stephan, JP Pepper, Sam Oyer, and Patrick Byrne—and I feel lucky to be part of a community that is so collaborative and thoughtful in how we care for patients.
The engagement from residents and attendees made it even more special. Seeing the next generation ask insightful questions and push the conversation forward is always energizing.
I also had the chance to highlight the Women in FPRS supplement published in March—such an important effort to amplify voices and perspectives in our field.

Short trip, full cup 💛

Before and After | Rhinoplasty.

“Will people be able to tell I had surgery?”
This is one of the biggest concerns patients have—and one I take seriously. Every rhinoplasty is customized to the individual—their anatomy, their goals, and even their aesthetic.

The best results don’t announce themselves.
They just look like you—in balance.

Grateful for the opportunity to visit UT Southwestern spend time in person with such an incredible team.

Two lectures, thoughtful questions, and real dialogue around facial reanimation—these are the moments that remind me how much I love teaching and learning from others.
The commitment to education here is palpable. Extended sessions with residents, deep engagement, and a team that is clearly pushing forward with complex, meaningful work.

Thank you to Elizabeth Longino for the invitation and for creating such a collaborative, welcoming environment. And to Ariel Frost, Eli Gordin, Joseph Leach, and Jim Gilmore—it was inspiring to see the work you’re doing.

These kinds of exchanges push all of us forward.

Before and After | Rhinoplasty.

Subtle changes, meaningful impact.
Tip refinement, gentle lift, and correction of a hanging columella—combined with dorsal hump reduction—can bring balance without taking away identity.
The result is a softer, more harmonious profile and a smoother and more refined front view.

Always aiming for natural results that fit the face, not define it. ✨

In recent years, we’ve seen a new category of skincare emerge that has enraptured plastic surgeons, dermatologists, beauty editors, and everyday women seeking solutions to age-related skin changes – estrogen-based skincare.
So, what exactly is estrogen-based medical skincare, and how does it work? When should women start using this type of product? Are there any risks or downsides to using estrogen-based skincare?

Before and After | Nasal Valve Collapse.

If your nostrils collapse when you breathe in… you’re not imagining it. This is Nasal Valve Collapse—one of the most common reasons people struggle to breathe through their nose.
The goal isn’t just to open the airway, but to do it without changing how your nose looks.

In this case:
✨ Severe collapse before (left worse than right)
✨ Stable, open breathing after
✨ Structural grafts placed without bulk
✨ Subtle refinement of a deep alar groove (a natural family trait)

Better breathing. Same natural look.

Grateful for time in Chicago at the annual JAMA Otolaryngology Editorial Meeting!

It’s always inspiring to step back and see how much thought, care, and intention goes into how science is shared. With so many changes happening in medicine—especially with AI—it’s been fascinating to see how journals are adapting and evolving.
Excited about new ways of communicating science, including short-form video and clips that make research more accessible.

Thank you to Jay Piccirillo for your leadership and mentorship, and to the entire editorial team for the time, insight, and dedication you bring to advancing our field.

Before and After | Rhinoplasty.
Nasal tip refinement is not just about making the nose smaller. The patient’s primary concern was a broad nasal tip. While reduction is often the first thing people think about, tip refinement is really about shape, structure, and balance.

In this case we:
* Refined the tip definition
* Adjusted the projection slightly forward
* Created better balance between the nose, chin, and overall facial profile

Small structural changes can make a meaningful difference in facial harmony while still preserving a natural appearance!

✨ Rhinoplasty is as much about proportion as it is about size.

Before and After | Smile Reanimation.
This patient was born with a rare congenital condition that caused paralysis of the right side of her face. We discussed several options, and she was understandably nervous about the length and complexity of a multivector gracilis free muscle transfer, initially leaning toward a simpler static lift.

Today, she can’t stop smiling — and neither can the people around her.
This is the kind of life-affirming surgery that reminds me why I love what I do. ✨
