I took a quick trip across LA to see and learn more about Preservé - the new minimally invasive technique for breast augmentation by Motiva. By sparing the anatomy of the breast, we’re able to provide patients better outcomes that last. I think it’s a unique technique and definitely look forward to adding it to the practice!

- Complex Breast Revision Surgery -

This patient had her old saline implants for over 20 years. After having several kids, she started to notice changes in their appearance and feel - her right breast was much harder than her left. She wanted to keep the volume she had, but address the look and shape.

During her consultation, she was noted to have capsular contracture on the right side. To address her concerns, she underwent a breast revision surgery with (1) bilateral implant exchanges (2) creation of new implant pockets and (3) a breast lift to shape her breasts around her new implants.

She’s seen here at 6 months after surgery with improvement in the shape, size, and contour of her breasts. Her scars are immature and will continue to fade up until a year after surgery.

A huge improvement for her and a natural result!

- Upper Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty) -

This lovely patient had struggled with her upper lids in recent years. She hated that it made her look tired all the time, especially in the morning, and older than she was and felt.

She underwent an upper eyelid lift or blepharoplasty under local anesthesia. This removes the excess eyelid skin to restore a brighter, more open appearance while keeping results subtle and natural.

It’s still her, just refreshed.

I’m Alex Cheah, M.D. - a double board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Southern California. I specialize in facial aesthetics, breast surgery including advanced revisions, and body contouring.

I grew up here in Los Angeles and spent almost 15 years training at leading institutions all over the country. As part of that, I was honored to complete my plastic surgery training at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX - widely considered one of the best programs in the country. I take great pride in my training and look forward to bringing those skills, experience, and knowledge back home to LA and providing the best care for my wonderful patients.
