Power has been restored, our WiFi and phones are still down. We will be seeing patients tomorrow in the office, email and portal communication will still be more reliable than phones.

Power is still off at the office. We will be monitoring portal messages and email, so please communicate by those. For true medical emergencies our on call provider will be reachable on the phone.

We have lots of little babies who need to be seen, so, I will be seeing some despite the power outage today. If you’re worried about your little one, I will see them, so be sure to let us know.

We will be contacting patients mostly by email and portal to reschedule. Appointments accessible by telemedicine planned for the next week, may be moved to today, so watch for notifications and let us know if you think your visit may be a good option for telemedicine.

Hope everyone in Central Ohio is safe today after the terrible storm. Our office is out of power, and AEP is not saying when it will be back on. Please communicate by portal, (or email if you are unable), and our staff will get back to you as we can. If you have an appointment for Wednesday, we will be closed till 10 am, and will notify families by 8am if we expect to open on Wednesday after 10am. Keep an eye on your email/portal for notification if your appointment is still happening. Our on call provider will be available as usual.

Vitamin k deficiency at birth is a terrible story, and this year alone we have had to send several babies to the hospital for it, but they have lived thankfully. This story decscribes how easy it is for a baby to die, and preventing that death is as easy as a dose of injectable Vit K in the hospital. Please parents, take this seriously and get your birth dose Vitamin K.

Babies have died after not receiving the vitamin K shot at birth. Their autopsy records underscore how preventable their deaths could have been.

There are active cases of measles in Columbus, one case has exposed people at the airport on February 18. In the comments I am also posting 2 of my videos about measles from earlier this year. If your child is not vaccinated, you may call the office to come and get a dose.

It's snowy out there everyone! We’re open but recognize many may struggle to be on time. These days can always be a bit unpredictable in the office, with our staff also having trouble getting in, we want everyone to be safe.

If you are uncomfortable driving in the snow or come from a distance it may be best to reach out to the office by phone, email, or portal message as early as possible to cancel your visit.
