A huge thank you to the Greenbelt American Legion and the Greenbelt American Legion SAL for their generous support of our Patriot’s Promise program!

We are honored to serve local veterans who have bravely sacrificed for our country and freedom- and are inspired by the The American Legion for the community support and benefit assistance they ensure every veteran receives.

This support helps Promise Landing Farm continue making one-day clinics accessible to veterans and active duty military members at no cost, and allowing us to continue proudly serving those who have served.

Congratulations to our first group of Phase 2 Patriots!
These DC Fire fighters had joined us for unmounted clinics earlier this year, and participated as the first group of Patriots to graduate to a mounted Patriot’s Promise clinic!
Horsemanship skills were built upon from their previous experience, and riding skills were introduced and practiced out in the very real world 🌳🪵
A huge spotlight on the special equines who made this a positive, safe and educational experience for these 4 firefighting trail blazers!

Rob Taishoff is the founder, facilitator, and Board President of Promise Landing Farm. Inspired by his daughters’ love of horses, Rob has created opportunities for hundreds of riders at Promise Landing Farm to find inclusive community, empowerment, and the multitude of benefits these incredible equines can offer.

For decades, Rob has also been on the frontlines of the fight to fix America’s broken disability system, after his own experiences navigating the forms, waitlists, red tape and restrictions to Jackie’s benefits and resources.

Unfortunately, their story is not unique. Across America, families are effectively trapped in the state where their child was born because Medicaid and home- and community-based waiver services do not move with them. Crossing a state line can mean losing essential supports, starting over, and spending years—sometimes a decade or longer—on another waiting list.

Able Americans and the Campaign to Fix the Disability System are dedicated to fixing a system that should be increasing access to resources for Americans with disabilities- not restricting them.

We’ve partnered with The Marlborough Horse Trials and Meghan O'Donoghue to offer the ultimate pre-event schooling opportunity on the MHT XC course September 17th!!!

Join us for a unique opportunity to school the event course with a 5* rider known for tackling XC with strategy and finesse. Whether you’re entered in the unrecognized, want to troubleshoot issues from the previous weekend on course, or just want to take advantage of a great clinician on a friendly diverse course, this is a chance to better yourself and your horse with coaching from one of the best XC riders in the sport!

Promise Landing Farm serves all ages, abilities, and aspirations- from adaptive to advanced. Ages 5-105, whether you’re jumping into the saddle for the first time, after some time, or with plenty of saddle time under your belt, we look forward to welcoming you to the farm where we have cultivated a community of equestrians helping each other and celebrating differences.
