2026 Friday Fun Fest is 4-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 7, at Harrison Smith Park. Join Wyandot County Family & Children First and Wyandot County Public Health for a night of free fun for the whole family!

Friday Fun Fest Features:

👉 Free meal and snacks 🌭🍧
👉 Free swimming at the Upper Sandusky Park Pool (Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Upper Sandusky). 🛟🦩
👉 Touch-a-truck with local first responders and a visit from Life Flight. 🚒🚁
👉 A resource fair with local organizations offering information, freebies, and free activities. 👋
👉 A Fun Fest Kick Off at 4 p.m. the park pool hosted by Wyandot County Prevention. Join and take home a free beach ball. 🥳
👉 Free car seat and booster seat checks conducted by Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) from Wyandot County Public Health. No appointment necessary. Checks take 30 minutes to complete. Arrive by 6:30 p.m. to ensure CPST availability. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
👉 The Wyandot County Safe Communities Coalition's Drive Sober Kick Off, featuring the Zero-Proof Mix Off mocktail competition. Local businesses and organizations compete to create the best mocktail recipe. Sample them all, vote for your favorite, and try the recipe out at your next gathering for sober guests and designated drivers. 🍹🪩 Plus, join us at the traffic safety tent at 5 p.m. to hear from a guest speaker with Wyandot County EMS. 🚑

Look at us grow! 🌽🥒🍈🍉

So far this year, our boxes at the Wyandot County Community Garden have provided 55 pounds of produce to be donated to the Christian Food Pantry (with much more to come!). We've donated cucumbers, squash, peppers, peas, kale, tomatoes, and cucumbers.

The community garden is successful each year because of our community:

🌱 This year, we are joined by 14 community gardeners, who are maintaining plots at the garden and growing fresh produce for their own use!

🌱 Our plants are started each year in 4th grade classrooms. Students and teachers raise the plants, help us w**d the garden, and plant their new seedlings each spring.

🌱 Donations from community members and organizations are utilized along with grants to ensure the garden has what it needs to thrive.

🌱 The City of Upper Sandusky, Ohio allows us to use and maintain the land each year and the Upper Sandusky Fire Department keeps the garden's water tank full.

We couldn't do it without our community! If you know students in need of volunteer hours or need a good excuse to spend some time outdoors yourself, contact us at 419-294-3852 and we'll put you to work. 💪😁
