Hello all, I am searching for 1 to 2 roommates starting May 1st for an amazing apartment in Uptown, Chicago. The apartment is a very spacious 3 bedroom, 1 & 1/2 bath with in-unit washer and dryer. It's close to major CTA routes, many markets and stores, and it is within reasonable walking distance to the lakefront.
With 2 people, rent would be $1,250/mo. or $833/mo. for 3 people. I have an in with the landlord, who will to rent to me if I can find some good roomates that are reliable and responsible. Unfortunately, my former roommates didn't fit the landlord's requirements. I need to find replacements ASAP. With the size, location, and price of this apartment, it's a once-in-a-lifetime apartment. I really want to keep this space!
I am an artist, entertainer, and event coordinator working for a theater downtown in the Loop, working mostly afternoon-evening late in the week and weekends. I have a gorgeous, fluffy black cat who likes to mostly be left alone- she does well with the large amount of space in the apartment. I love to cook, have people over, play games, watch movies with friends, and get outside as much as possible when I'm not working. Ideally, I am looking 1 or more fellow artistic qu**rs with communal-minded living skills, including good communication and healthy boundaries. No other dogs or cats allowed, but other pets might be ok.
