Which soybean varieties are best suited for Angola?

Using SIL's Head-to-Head™ predictive model, we analyzed more than 500 geo-locations across Angola to identify the soybean varieties predicted to perform best under different agroecological conditions.

The model identified six varieties with the greatest potential coverage, together representing more than 90% of Angola's possible growing regions.

In South Sudan, one of SIL's partners was working to improve soybean production opportunities for thousands of smallholder farmers.

Through PAT™, soybean varieties were evaluated across multiple production environments, helping identify three varieties that were ultimately selected for registration and commercialization.

The Pan-African Variety Trials™ (PAT™) have identified the top 10 soybean varieties showing the strongest performance across Malawi trial environments.

The results highlight promising new entries, substantial yield advantages over the current commercial benchmark, and important progress toward variety release and farmer access.
