Today is National Fentanyl Awareness Day 💜
Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that has become a major contributor to overdose deaths across the country. Many people are exposed without even knowing it, as it is often mixed into other substances. This makes awareness, education, and open conversation more important than ever.
At our therapy office, we believe that knowledge saves lives. Talking with teens and young adults about substance use, peer pressure, and safety can feel difficult, but these conversations truly matter.
Today, we encourage you to:
Learn the facts about fentanyl and overdose risks
Have honest, age-appropriate conversations with your kids and loved ones
Reduce stigma around substance use and mental health
Know the signs of overdose and how to respond
If you or someone you love is struggling with substance use or mental health challenges, support is available. You don’t have to face it alone.
Together, we can create safer, more informed communities 💜
