I used to believe blending into the background was safer. I thought staying unseen, quiet, and making sure I never made mistakes or did anything imperfect would keep things peaceful. But that belief became a self-fulfilling prophecy, and it slowly dimmed my creative spark.
When I began believing I was meant to shine, even just a little, I focused on that tiny spark. It brought in new awareness, new opportunities, and little by little, my actions began to change.
Now, stepping into my creative power is a daily practice. Every day, I give it space to breathe. I am learning to recognize the limitations I placed on myself and rewrite the old story I once believed was true.
There is so much freedom in this awareness. I try to move gently with myself when old beliefs and patterns resurface, because growth is often recognizing where we still need to look a little deeper.
Through this awareness, I began noticing where these beliefs were repeating in my life. When situations arose that forced me to face the parts of myself that had been shut down, I had to ask:
Is this true, or is this my anxiety focusing on what feels familiar?
I am in the process of writing a new story.
One where I allow myself to exist fully.
To breathe deeply.
To make music and art.
To follow my heart’s desires.
To lean into growth and expansion with grace.
What belief have you been living in that could change your story?
