People often think being an Activity Coordinator is all about bingo, games, and crafts—but it's so much more than that. Sometimes, it's about finding that one resident who could use a reason to smile.
That's where my little therapy bird, Juju, comes in. 🦜❤️Juju has a special way of brightening everyone's day. I love making funny little videos of his silly antics and sharing them with our residents at Northpoint Village. The smiles, laughter, and conversations those videos create are absolutely priceless. Watching someone's face light up after they've been having a tough day reminds me why I love what I do.It's not just Juju, either. Whether I'm doing a goofy dance, singing a song (even if the residents tell me to keep my day job 😂), or simply spending time with them, every laugh and every smile means the world to me.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to help our residents enjoy each day a little more, feel a little lighter, and know they're cared for. Seeing them happy brings me just as much joy as I hope I bring to them.
I truly love my job here at Northpoint Village, and I'm grateful every day for the opportunity to make a difference—one smile, one laugh, and one silly Juju video at a time. 💙🦜
