The Upstate Caring Partners Clinical Department is proud to have AVP of Applied Research Dr. Awab Abdel-Jalil and Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Erik Jacobson presenting this past weekend at the Association for Behavior Analysis International Annual Convention in San Francisco.

As part of one of the largest international gatherings in the field of behavior analysis, their presentations highlight Upstate Caring Partners’ continued commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care, applied research, and improving outcomes for the individuals and families we support.

We are excited to see the work happening in Utica represented on an international stage and look forward to bringing new ideas and collaborations back to our programs and communities.

Our Prevocational program recently wrapped up a 6‑week Financial Literacy training with First Source Federal Credit Union. Ms. Deb and Ms. Rachel from First Source’s Community Development team met weekly with our participants and covered financial basics, money management, cybersecurity, budgeting, wants vs. needs, career readiness, and more.

First Source did an outstanding job tailoring each lesson with worksheets, slideshows, hands‑on activities, and group discussions to support a variety of learning styles. Thank you, First Source, for your partnership and dedication to the people we support.
