📚✨ **Literature Book of the Week: Beautiful Oops! **

This week, our kiddos read then Beautiful Oops! and learned that an “oops” doesn’t have to be a mistake—it can be the beginning of something amazing! 💕🎨

After reading the story, the children created their own unique artwork by pushing a bead around on their paper and following the different directions it traveled. They watched as the bead created unexpected lines and shapes, turning little “oops” moments into beautiful designs!

Once their lines were created, the kiddos got to paint their masterpieces and bring their creations to life. 🖌️🌈

🐰💙 Letter of the Week: Bb! 💙🐰

This week at Blue Anchors Preschool, we’re learning all about the letter Bb! 🔤✨

Our little learners explored the letter B through three fun, hands-on activities:

✏️ Trace the Letter — Practicing tracing both uppercase and lowercase B to build letter recognition and early writing skills.

🔎 Find the Letter — Our little detectives searched for and dotted all the B’s, strengthening letter identification and visual recognition.

🎨 Letter B Art — We turned our letter B into a BUNNY! 🐰 The children used their creativity to transform the letter into an adorable bunny while practicing fine-motor skills and learning that letters can be used in fun and creative ways.

🎨✨ Creative Art Expression Day! ✨🎨

Today our little artists got to turn clay sticks into their own unique masterpieces! 🖌️🌈 They painted, chose their own beads, and designed their creations completely on their own.

This activity was more than just making beautiful art—it encouraged fine-motor development, creativity, hand-eye coordination, and decision-making skills. Most importantly, the children had the freedom to be in control of their own artwork and express themselves through their individual choices. 💕

There’s something so special about watching each child’s personality shine through their art! 🎨✨

👹💚 Go Away, Big Green Monster! 💚👹

After reading the story, the children had the opportunity to create their very own monsters! 🎨👀👃👄

This activity was a fun way to learn about facial features and where they belong while encouraging each child to use their imagination and creativity. We loved seeing how every monster turned out completely unique! 💚

From silly eyes to big noses and funny mouths, our little artists had so much fun bringing their monsters to life! 👹🎨

🌱📚 Growing Little Minds & Little Seeds! 🌱

Today at Blue Anchors Preschool, we combined literature, hands-on learning, and a little bit of nature! 🌿

We read a book about seeds and planting, then brought the story to life with our own planting activity. The children:

🎨 Painted their very own pots
🪴 Added soil
🌱 Planted their seeds
💧 Watered them
👀 And now we get to watch them grow!

This activity is a wonderful way for children to learn about how plants grow, patience, responsibility, and the natural world. We’ll be checking on our little plants each day and watching for those exciting first sprouts! 🌱✨

🌳☀️ Park days are the BEST days! 💙

There’s something special about stepping outside and letting children simply explore, play, create, and use their imaginations. From climbing and running to discovering nature and making up their own games, every park visit is filled with opportunities to learn through play! 🛝🌿✨

Walking to the park also gives children the chance to:
👣 Build confidence and independence
💪 Get active and develop gross motor skills
🧠 Practice listening, awareness, and safety skills
🤝 Socialize and build friendships
🌎 Connect with their community and surroundings
🎨 Use their imagination through open-ended play

Most importantly, it gives them the freedom to be kids, get some fresh air, and have fun! 💕

Even when the weather keeps us indoors, the fun and learning never stop!

Our classrooms are thoughtfully set up with a variety of engaging activities, allowing children to choose what interests them most.

The kids love being able to do art outside, create ball runs, do music, and yoga outside! The weather is starting to get so nice we are able to bring our indoor activities outside!
