We are pleased to announce that we have enrolled our first study subject in the OASIS OsteoAdapt™ SP FDA pivotal trial.

The procedure went extremely well, and we were able to achieve an excellent correction of the patient's coronal deformity. While surgical correction is important, the ultimate goal of spine surgery is not simply alignment on imaging. It is biological healing, successful fusion, and meaningful improvement in patient outcomes.

That is why studies like OASIS are so important. Through a rigorous FDA-regulated clinical trial, we will evaluate whether AMP-2 can enhance the biological processes necessary for successful spinal fusion and long-term patient recovery.

We are grateful to our research team, operating room staff, study sponsors, and most importantly, the patient who chose to participate in advancing the science of spine care.

We look forward to contributing to the evidence and sharing our experience as the study progresses.

Serving in the United States military taught me the importance of discipline, teamwork, and service to others. Today, I’m honored to continue serving in a different way. As a neurosurgeon in Vail, Colorado, caring for patients and helping improve lives through spine care and innovation.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue making a difference every day.

Excited to continue advancing new technologies to better serve patients in the Vail Valley. We recently placed our first Synergy Disc in a patient with cervical myeloradiculopathy.

Innovation in cervical arthroplasty continues to expand the ability to preserve motion while addressing spinal cord and nerve root compression. I appreciate the collaboration of our OR team and partners as we continue bringing advanced spine care options to our mountain community.

🧠 What a privilege!

I was honored to give a talk on Physician Ownership and Employment in the Ambulatory Surgery Center Setting at the 2026 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting in San Antonio, Texas. It was great to catch up with mentors and colleagues.

It's a topic that hits close to home for a lot of us in neurosurgery — navigating the business side of practice while staying focused on what matters most: patient care. The ASC environment is evolving fast, and the ownership conversation is one we need to keep having.

If you missed it, no worries — the talk will be posted on **VuMedi**, and I'll share the link as soon as it's available. Worth a watch if you're thinking through these issues in your own practice.

Thanks to the AANS for the platform. San Antonio was 🔥 — in more ways than one. 😄

I’m honored to be joining an outstanding panel alongside Dr. Park, Dr. Than, and Dr. Fehlings to discuss one of the most important challenges in spine surgery—how we can consistently achieve better outcomes while accelerating fusion.

We’ll be focusing on the role of P-15 technology and its ability to mimic the cell-binding domain of Type I collagen, helping optimize the biologic environment for fusion. As our field continues to evolve, these kinds of innovations are critical to improving patient recovery and long-term success.
📅 Saturday, May 2
⏰ 12:15 – 1:00 PM
If you’re attending, I encourage you to join us for what should be a highly engaging and practical discussion.
Looking forward to seeing many of you there.
