New from the Journal of EMDR Practice and Research®:

A newly published commentary examines the 2025 American Psychological Association Clinical Practice Guideline for the Treatment of PTSD in Adults, exploring how EMDR therapy was evaluated in comparison with other national and international clinical practice guidelines.

The authors raise important questions about the guideline's methodology, transparency and use of evidence; contributing to an ongoing conversation about how clinical recommendations are developed.

At EMDRIA, we believe all PTSD treatments should be evaluated using rigorous, transparent and consistently applied standards. We also believe the strongest response is to continue strengthening the science through high-quality research that advances understanding and informs future clinical guidelines.

💜 Donation Drop-Offs Are Open Again! 💜

Now that we’ve wrapped up another successful Adopt A Family season, The Haven is accepting donations again to support survivors and families throughout the year.

Donations will be accepted on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 1805 Plum St. Please be sure to hand off donations directly to a staff member and avoid leaving items at the back door. Outdoor weather and humidity can damage donations if left outside.

We’ve created a Donation Guide flyer with more details about the items we currently need most!

Grief looks different for everyone, but you don’t have to walk through it alone. 💚 Our Walking Through Grief support group offers a safe space, helpful tools, and compassionate guidance.

Registration will still be accepted after January 9.
