It's been not quite a year since I checked the Yelp reviews. The last time it was 2.5 out of 5. In nine months that has fallen to 2.0. This has gone from bad to worse. https://www.yelp.com/biz/sgmc-health-valdosta?sort_by=date_desc

It seems things have not gotten any better since my dad died there in 2015 from not being elevated for receiving nutrients from a feeding machine and being left unattended.

It's been awhile since I've posted reviews of SGMC so it's time for an update. I checked the reviews on Yelp, and they are an unbelievable but not surprising 2.5/5.0. Be sure to read some of the reviews. All I can say is wow. Here's the link: https://tinyurl.com/336j85pe

If you need hospital care, go somewhere else. Keep in mind SGMC has bought out all of the competition in the Valdosta area and surrounding counties. If you can make it, Mayo Hospital in either Waycross or Jacksonville are far better choices. Others outside of the SGMC area are Madison, Florida, Tifton, Georgia, and Thomasville, Georgia.

If you must use SGMC, be sure to have a family member or friend present. It's best if someone can stay with you day and night for the duration of your stay, but if that's not possible have someone there during the night time and weekend hours at least.

It's been almost two years since I checked the reviews for SGMC. All I can say is wow! Things don't seem to have improved there. Reviews on Yelp average 2.4. 😲

I haven't posted anything for a while and I decided it was time to check the reviews for SGMC on other sites. It seems nothing has changed. I found reviews on Birdseye and found 3.6 out of 5. This is consistent with the reviews on other sites and hasn't changed since this page was started. Be sure to read some of the comments. They are enlightening to say the least.

I hadn't checked the reviews for SGMC in awhile, so I found this little gem. The reviews on this site are 3.6/5.0 which is consistent with what I've been seeing on other sites. There are MANY bad reviews, and they are REALLY bad. Many of them are from four years ago, a year after SGMC's negligence resulted in the death of my father. It's worth the time to read some of them.

Check out what I just found. This is really something. SGMC could only muster 1.8 out of 5 stars on the reviews which is about right. Be sure to check out the comments. All I can say is wow!

There have been quite a few more employee reviews on GlassDoor since my last posting in 2016. SGMC's overall rating has not increased.
