We spend so much of our lives chasing happiness as though it is a destination we are meant to arrive at and remain.

But happiness is an emotion. Like all emotions, it comes and goes.

Contentment is different.

Contentment isn’t about pretending life is perfect. It’s about finding peace in the life you’re living today—even while you’re working toward tomorrow. It allows room for joy and grief, excitement and disappointment, hope and uncertainty to exist together.

Perhaps the goal isn’t to be happy all the time.

Perhaps the goal is to build a life where contentment can take root, and happiness is welcomed whenever it visits.

No child should have to navigate grief alone. 💚

Camp Lean On Me, hosted by Hospice of South Georgia -- Valdosta, GA, is a free grief support camp for children ages 6–17 who have experienced the loss of a parent, grandparent, sibling, or other loved one.

Through meaningful activities, peer connection, and compassionate guidance, campers can process their grief, build coping skills, and find support alongside others who understand their journey.

The two-day camp will be held September 26–27 at the 4-H Club Campground in Lake Park, Georgia. Space is limited, and registration closes September 11.
