Established in 1975, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital offers general acute care services along with a life-saving Level II Trauma Center to serve the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding corridors. The hospital employs over 1,800 dedicated and skilled medical, support and volunteer staff. Daniel Bingham, DPM, was honored with Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital’s Q2 Nurses Physician Choice Award, a recognition that celebrates physicians who consistently provide proactive, personalized, predictive, and precise patient care. The award also recognizes physicians who embody the hospital’s core values of integrity, teamwork, accountability, quality, safety, and respect.
Dr. Bingham specializes in podiatric wound care and limb preservation, with a strong focus on helping patients heal complex lower-extremity wounds and preventing amputations through advanced wound care treatments and collaborative care strategies. He serves as Medical Director for Podiatric Wound Care at Henry Mayo and is known for his compassionate, patient-centered approach and close collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams.
Adding to the significance of this recognition, Dr. Bingham and his brother, also Dr. Bingham were actually born at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, making this award especially meaningful as they now serve the same community and hospital where their life began.

Last week, the City of Santa Clarita proclaimed the month of May as Mental Health Awareness Month, recognizing the importance of mental health education, support, and access to care throughout our community.
The city also recognized Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and our Behavioral Health Unit for its continued work in providing mental health services and support to patients and families in the Santa Clarita Valley.

May is Trauma Awareness Month — a time to recognize the importance of trauma prevention, education, and lifesaving emergency care.
Trauma can happen in an instant, but preparation, rapid response, and expert care can make all the difference. We are proud to support the dedicated physicians, nurses, first responders, and healthcare teams who work every day to care for patients when they need it most.
This month, we also encourage our community to help prevent injuries by driving safely, wearing seatbelts, using helmets, and staying aware both on and off the road. Together, we can help keep our community safe.
