Patricia “Pat” Ann Barber was born in Washington, D.C., to the late Ulas Grant Jacobs and
Lossie W. Jacobs. Her family later moved to Clinton, North Carolina, where she attended
primary and secondary school alongside her brother, Charles Jacobs. She went on to earn a
degree in social work from Fayetteville State College and began her professional life as a social
worker in New York City before moving to California.
In California, Pat earned her Master of Arts degree in special education from Sonoma State

School. Her love for teaching continued after retirement when she taught life skills at Vallejo
Adult School.
Pat was deeply committed to service, community, and the well-being of children. She was active
with Meals on Wheels, Greater Vallejo Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, and
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Kappa Beta Omega Chapter. She also led the
Shade Project at St. Catherine of Siena School, ensuring children would not have to sit in the hot

Gabrielle Marie Wunsch, 51, known affectionately to her friends as Gabs, passed away in her
Vallejo home on July 20, 2026, surrounded by friends, music, and her beloved pets, following an
almost 5-year battle with Stage 4 breast cancer.
Gabs leaves an unfillable hole in the hearts of the many who loved her, and her absence will be
profoundly evident throughout the classical music world. A rare bird equally at home on period
and modern violins, she held Bachelor's and Master's degrees in modern violin performance from
the Eastman School of Music and SUNY Stony Brook; Bachelor's and Master's degrees in period
performance from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague; and Artist Diplomas from Escola
Superior de Música de Catalunya and Amsterdam Conservatory. She lived and performed in
Europe for nearly a decade as a period specialist with the New Dutch Academy as both assistant
concertmaster and principal second violin, Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht, B’Rock, and the
Nederlandse Bachvereniging, among others. In North America, she appeared regularly with
period groups including Voices of Music and Philharmonia Baroque. Her video of the Biber
Passacaglia on YouTube, recorded and released by Voices of Music, has now passed 260,000
views. She performed many chamber and solo programs at the Utrecht, Barcelona, and Göttingen
festivals, and was a prize winner in the 2010 Premio Bonporti International Baroque Violin
Competition held in Rovereto, Italy.

John Burton Anthony III, affectionately known to family, friends, and colleagues as "Jack"—and to many simply as "Jumbo"—passed away peacefully at his home in Fairfield, California, on July 27, 2026, at the age of 75, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Surrounded by the love of his family, Jack left this world with the same strength, dignity, and grace that defined his life.

Born on July 9, 1951, in Vallejo, California, Jack was raised in the community he proudly called home. He was the beloved son of Margaret Anthony, who survives him at 98 years old, and the late John Anthony Jr. From an early age, he embodied the values of integrity, hard work, and perseverance that would shape both his personal and professional life.

Jack attended California State University, Chico, and proudly served in the military reserves, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to service and responsibility.

Jack was a visionary entrepreneur and respected leader in the car wash industry. As Chief Executive Officer of 7 Flags Car Wash, he transformed a small family business of four self-service car washes into one of Northern California's premier car wash companies. Under his leadership, the company expanded to seven self-service locations, five express car washes, two full-service car washes, and one express oil change center. His vision, relentless work ethic, and commitment to excellence created opportunities for countless employees and built a legacy that...
