Who's ready for fall? I sure am — I'm SICK of this heat. 🍂

Quick regulatory update for anyone following the GLP-1/peptide space:

Retatrutide is caught in an FDA lawsuit that comes down to counting amino acids. The FDA says its main chain has 39. Eli Lilly says 41. The number matters because 40+ makes it a "biologic" — and biologics can never legally be compounded, unlike tirzepatide or semaglutide during their shortages.

Oral arguments happen September 24th. Lilly isn't even planning to file for approval until early 2027, so this classification fight will likely be settled before the drug ever launches.

Bottom line today: retatrutide isn't FDA-approved, and there's no legal compounded version available right now — regardless of how this case turns out.

I'll keep you posted as it develops. 👀

Cheap is often the most expensive mistake you can make with your health.
I get the urge to use that $20 copay, but standard medicine is trained to keep you alive—not to help you thrive. Family doctors and OB/GYNs are essential for general health, but standard curricula simply don’t teach nuanced hormone optimization.
If your provider isn’t running markers like Free Testosterone and SHBG, they aren’t seeing what your body is actually able to use. The result? A “normal” lab printout while you stay exhausted, foggy, and frustrated.
Saving upfront isn’t worth staying tired for another year.
👉 Have you ever been told your labs were “completely normal” when you felt terrible? Drop your experience below, or DM me “BALANCE” to find out what a comprehensive hormone panel should actually include.

Mental health 🤝 hormone health.

One of my favorite conversations recently was sitting down with mental health providers and realizing—we’re seeing the same gap.

In both women AND men, symptoms like fatigue, poor sleep, brain fog, mood changes, anxiety and low motivation can sometimes have more than one piece to the puzzle.

It was so encouraging to see mental health providers recognizing the hormone connection and wanting to collaborate.

Because better care happens when we stop working in silos. ❤️

Can you take HRT if breast cancer runs in your family? The short answer: yes.
Many women are told that a family history of breast cancer automatically takes hormone replacement therapy off the table. But large-scale data—including the Women’s Health Initiative and studies tracking over 70,000 women—shows no statistically significant increase in breast cancer risk for HRT users with a family history compared to non-users. Even more striking, the Iowa Women’s Health Study found a 33% lower all-cause mortality rate in HRT users with a family history compared to those who didn’t take it.
Even in high-risk BRCA1 carriers post-oophorectomy, studies show HRT didn’t raise risk, and estrogen-only therapy was actually linked to a reduced risk.
Hormone therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and personalized care is essential—especially for genetic variants like BRCA2—but a family history alone shouldn’t mean suffering through menopause symptoms without options.

Can optimizing your testosterone actually impact your paycheck? 📈💼
A study highlighted by The Economist found an intriguing link between testosterone and earning potential:
The Baseline Effect: Men moving from clinically low levels back to an optimal, healthy baseline saw the biggest boost in drive, energy, and competitive workplace performance.
Diminishing Returns: Pushing levels far beyond normal limits offered virtually zero extra career boost—it’s all about balance and fixing deficiencies.
When your hormones are dialed in, you restore the focus, stamina, and confidence needed to show up at your best every single day.
