Taking the perspective of others is empathy, not sympathy. There is a huge difference between the two. It’s a matter of attachment.
When you demonstrate empathy, you are simply taking a perspective of what Your filters see in someone’s situation. It’s like a 30,000 ft view of it. Un Attached.
Yeah that un attached piece is often the hardest part, because our own demons tend to surface, putting us into a lower vibration and bring us down with them. Breaking from these shadows takes work, interpersonal seeking and unlocking.
It’s taken you years and lots of help from parents and society to create these faulty templates of reactions, so it’s going to take some time and guidance to overcome the programming.
