The Tolstoy Foundation Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a 96-bed facility that provides skilled nursing, rehabilitation and personal care services in a warm and homelike environment. Nestled in the natural landscape of the town of Valley Cottage in Rockland County (only 20 miles from New York City), The Home offers bright and spacious rooms, lovely views and fresh country air in a pleasant and

calming setting. Founded in 1970 by Alexandra Tolstoy, daughter of the famous author and humanitarian, the Home was established to provide care and service to elderly people of diverse cultures and backgrounds. Services are provided by a multi-lingual staff who are experienced and proven.

The Tolstoy Foundation Rehabilitation & Nursing Center family extends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Andrew "Andre" Kotchoubey.

Dr. Kotchoubey served as the long-time Chairman of the Board for Tolstoy Foundation Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, providing years of dedicated leadership, guidance, and unwavering support to our organization. His vision, compassion, and commitment helped shape our mission of providing exceptional care to those we serve.

His life was one of remarkable accomplishment and service, touching countless lives both within our community and beyond. His legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Over the past two weeks, our community at Tolstoy Foundation Rehabilitation and Nursing Center has been filled with so many special moments, smiles and celebrations for both our residents and staff.

From enjoying a fun food truck experience to bring appreciation to our dedicated team, to laughter shared with clowns who brought joy to residents and staff alike, to meaningful planting activites with our residents--these moments remind us how important connection, kindness and community truly are.

At our small not for profit skilled nursing facility, creating meaningful experiences and special memories for those who live and work here is at the heart of what we do. We are so grateful to our incredible staff, wonderful residents, families and community who make these moments possible.

This past week, we had the pleasure of celebrating our incredible staff during "The Power of Nurses", recognizing National Nurses Week and "Moments in Bloom", recognizing National Skilled Nursing Care Week, with a full week of activites, appreciation and recognition. We are excited to share many of the special moments and photos in the days ahead.

We are deeply grateful for the dedication, compassion and hard work our team brings each and every day to our patients and residents. The thoughtful notes and messages of appreciation we received throughout the week meant so much to all of us and served a wonderful reminder of the impact our staff makes every single day.

Thank you to our extraordinary team for all that you do--your commitment, kindness and compassion truly make a difference.
