Long Island Jewish Valley Stream has welcomed a new Siemens SOMATOM Pro.Pulse Dual Source CT scanner — becoming the first hospital within Northwell Health to use this specific model.

Beginning in October, the technology will enable advanced cardiac CT imaging to help physicians evaluate the heart and coronary arteries for potential blockages, calcium deposits and other cardiovascular concerns — all through a noninvasive approach.

With a nearly $1 million investment, this new technology represents an important step toward expanding access to advanced heart care for patients across the South Shore and Southeast Queens communities.

A Knicks superfan’s Game 4 celebration took an unexpected turn when 33-year-old Dayshawn Ealey from Queens landed in the ER at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream after breaking his foot while celebrating.

After hearing what happened, hospital staff stopped by to lift his spirits and join in the celebration, making sure the Game 4 win still felt like a victory off the court too. 🧡💙

Our Cohen Children’s Pediatric Sleep Center at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream is officially open! This space is thoughtfully designed just for kids within the hospital’s sleep center, focused on delivering specialized care for our youngest patients.
