What do you do when your mood feels low?
Do you push through?
Pull away?
Tell yourself you should be able to snap out of it?
Low mood is not a personal failure. It is often a signal that your mind and body need care, support, or a different kind of response.
Sometimes that looks like sleep, a nourishing meal, or movement.
Sometimes it looks like doing one small thing you have been avoiding.
Sometimes it looks like checking the story you are telling yourself, reaching out instead of isolating, or letting in a small moment of comfort.
These practices are not about forcing yourself to feel better.
They are about supporting yourself in small, steady ways.
You do not have to fix everything today.
Try one step. Then another. Then rest.
Overtime these things build resilience and impact your overall mood and mental health. This is what emotion regulation is all about.
Save this for a day when your mood feels heavy, or share it with someone who may need the reminder.
