There's something truly special about the healing power of animals.

Absolute Hospice recently had the privilege of bringing a petting zoo to the incredible residents and staff at GentleBrook in Hartville, creating an unforgettable day filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments.

A miniature horse, Nigerian dwarf goat, bantam silkie chicken, and a lovable dog made their way through the halls, bringing comfort and joy to residents who welcomed each furry and feathered visitor with excitement. It was especially heartwarming to see the surprise and delight on the faces of our two hospice patients as these special guests visited their rooms.

At Absolute Hospice, we believe that compassionate care extends beyond medicine. Moments like these create meaningful connections, spark cherished memories, and remind us that joy can be found in the simplest experiences.

A heartfelt thank you to Rebecca Thompson for helping make this event possible and for consistently going above and beyond for our patients and their families. Your compassion and dedication truly make a difference every day.

At Absolute Home Health & Hospice, it’s often the simplest moments that make the biggest difference.

When our team member, Erica, learned that Jeanne could use a little puppy love, she arranged a special visit with Winnie. Jeanne shared stories about the four Dobermans she had loved over the years and smiled as she enjoyed plenty of cuddles with her furry visitor.

By the end of the visit, Winnie was so worn out from all the love and attention that she fell asleep as soon as she got back in the car.

These meaningful moments of comfort, companionship, and joy are what hospice care is all about. Thank you, Erica, for making Jeanne’s day a little brighter.

Absolute Hospice had the honor of joining the residents and staff at Stone Creek Assisted Living for a heartfelt Memorial Day service. Together, we paused to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Our Chaplain, Paul, recited a touching poem and led everyone in prayer, while Brenda, our Music Therapist, shared a few meaningful songs alongside the residents, making the service even more special.

Thank you to everyone at Stone Creek for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful service.

Fun was in full swing at our Cinco De Mayo themed Blood Pressure Clinic at Westview Healthy Living.

The Absolute team brought both the laughs and the learning as they dressed up for the occasion as a hot pepper and a burrito while providing blood pressure checks and helpful health education to residents and staff.

Events like these are a great reminder that healthcare can be both informative and fun. We love partnering with our local nursing homes to promote wellness, build relationships, and create meaningful moments together.

At Absolute Home Health & Hospice, it is our privilege to help make meaningful moments possible for our patients through our My Heart’s Desire Program.

We recently had the honor of fulfilling a special wish for one of our very loved hospice patients, David Berry, who has always had a deep passion for art. David enjoys spending his time sketching and drawing whenever he can, and for a long time he had hoped to attend an art class. Unfortunately, due to pain and his current condition, he has been unable to leave the facility.

So instead, we brought the art class to him.

Local artist Kathy Anderson generously came to the facility to lead an abstract art class right in David’s room. The room quickly filled with creativity, laughter, and life. David was so happy to be surrounded by art and shared that it was a day he will never forget.

Moments like these remind us how powerful it can be to honor the passions and wishes of those we care for. Thank you to Kathy Anderson for helping us create such a meaningful experience for David.

We are proud to announce the promotion of Lindsey Zacharias to Regional Director of Business Development at Absolute Home Health and Hospice. Since joining Absolute in May, Lindsey has grown our Southeastern market by an incredible 90% while strengthening partnerships across our healthcare community. Her background in healthcare marketing, admissions, and strategic growth, along with her passion for hospice care, makes her a natural fit for this leadership role.

Absolute Home Health & Hospice proudly participated in the Wear Red heart campaign to help raise awareness of heart disease. Team members at our Caldwell and Canton locations joined together in support of this important cause. This initiative was especially meaningful as we stood in solidarity with one of our team members whose daughter is currently awaiting a heart transplant. We are honored to show our support, raise awareness, and reinforce our commitment to caring for our community—both inside and outside the workplace.
