At 34 weeks a baby’s weight is over 4.5 pounds, and it has a size almost 18 inches long which is about a size of a small melon. The baby is getting fatter which is supposed to keep a body temperature regulated after the baby is born. The fat makes the baby looks more round. The baby’s skin is very smooth by this stage. A central nervous system is continued to develop as well as the lungs. If babies born between 34 and 37 weeks, there's usually no health problems, and they develop normally.

At this time a baby weight is about 2 pounds and has a size around 14 ½ inches from head to heel ( could be compare with a size of cauliflower). By now the baby sleeps and wakes up at regular intervals and might suck on her fingers. Even though the baby started on inhaling and exhaling an amniotic fluid her lungs is still immature. If she is born right now the baby would be needed lots of medical help to survive. Moms could be feeling some little movements because of baby’s hiccups that could be regular issue from now on. Those hiccups usually are short timed and they don’t bother the baby.
Most recognizable facts of fetal development at this stage: baby’s muscles are maturing. The baby continues to gain weight.

At 19 weeks a baby weighs about 8.5 ounces with a length of 6", head to bottom. It is approximately a size of heirloom tomato. A baby's arms and legs are now in rights proportions to each other and with the rest of the body. The baby's kidneys continue to produce urine and the hair are growing on the baby's scalp. The baby's skin started to be coated with protective wax called the vernix caseosa to deal with the amniotic fluid.

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — 1 1/2 pounds. She's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture. Baby's eyelashes are forming, and her scalp hair continues to grow.
Although her hearing is still rudimentary, by the time she's born she'll be able to recognize your voice from hearing it constantly in utero.
