East Alabama Health is offering Free Mammogram Day on Friday, October 23 for medically uninsured women!

To qualify, you must:
-Be medically uninsured
-Be a woman age 40 or older
-Have not had a mammogram within the past 12 months
-Have no prior abnormalities found during breast screenings

East Alabama Health is expanding access to essential prenatal care in Valley, Ala.! The East Alabama Community Prenatal Clinic, provided in partnership with Auburn University College of Nursing, will be located on the EAMC-Lanier Rural Emergency Hospital campus.

Opening Tuesday, Sept. 1, the clinic will provide consistent prenatal care between regular OB/GYN visits for expectant mothers in Chambers County and surrounding communities. Through the clinic, East Alabama Health is committed to filling gaps in prenatal care, addressing time-sensitive concerns, and supporting healthier pregnancies, mothers and babies throughout the region.

This morning, we celebrated the ribbon cutting for three new observation beds in the Emergency Department at EAMC-Lanier Rural Emergency Hospital, hosted by the Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce!✂️🎉

The three new beds, which opened Aug. 1, provide dedicated space for patients in Chambers County who need additional monitoring, testing or treatment without requiring an inpatient hospital admission or immediate transfer to another facility.

The observation beds also help keep the ED’s standard emergency care beds available for patients needing urgent treatment.

We’re grateful to the Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, Valley Mayor Leonard Riley, Councilman Jim Clark and everyone else who joined us to celebrate this important addition to the EAMC-Lanier Rural Emergency Hospital.
