Self-awareness and self-care are essential for improving mental wellbeing. A quick tip to assessing your mental health is completing a check in with yourself daily by examining physical and emotional cues. This can simply be done by taking notice of any physical sensations or changes with your body. Are you sleeping less? How is your appetite? Are you more tired than usual? Emotionally, what are you feeling because of the physical symptoms? Are you lacking motivation, feeling sad or anxious? Give yourself permission to process and feel. Follow up the check in with intentionally, making a plan for self-care.
