Looking for some FREE Halloween fun for the kids? Join us at Newsome High School on Sunday, October 18, from 3pm–5pm for an afternoon of Halloween fun, sweet treats, and plenty of surprises!! 🍬

Hosted by Newsome Chorus, this community event brings together over 30 Newsome clubs and organizations, each decorating a classroom with its own unique theme and handing out candy to our little trick-or-treaters!

🧡 Open to children in 5th grade and younger
📍 Newsome High School
🎟️ FREE admission! Donations are welcome.
🍧 Kona Ice will be available for purchase.

🌈 Acceptance instead of pressure to “fit in”
🦋 Support for each child’s unique way of communicating
💬 Communication that is valued in every form
🔧 Accommodations that help children access and enjoy learning
💙 Adults who see the whole child, not just their challenges

Some kids may walk into school excited. Some may feel nervous. Some may need extra support, a little more time, or a different way to participate. All of those experiences are valid.

Here’s to a year of connection, belonging, self-advocacy, and celebrating what makes every child wonderfully unique. 🌈✨

Today was my first full day back to work after my hip replacement! It was a loooooong six weeks, and I’m so grateful for all the thoughts, prayers, and well wishes during recovery. You know you love your job when you can’t wait to get back to it. 💜💛💙
