All About Speech & Language (AASL) is a multi-purpose, innovative company founded by licensed, experienced, and skilled speech-language pathologists. AASL works with individuals with special needs throughout the lifespan, from early childhood through adulthood. Our Mission, “Maximizing A Child's Potential At Every Stage Of Life” supports our whole-hearted desire to help the individual acquire communication skills in order to grow as a unique and special person and thrive in the community by connecting with his/her family, friends, and those around them; people like you with whom they interact with on a consistent basis.

The City of Tampa has been invited to host a sensory relief zone during the Riverwalk Trick or Treat event hosted by Friends of the Riverwalk! We will be located near the Heroes Plaza and Cooling Zone.

Join us on Saturday, October 24, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Cotanchobee Park for the annual Riverwalk Trick-or-Treat! Bring the whole family for an evening of Halloween fun, including 50+ treat stations, festive activities, costumes, candy and more along Tampa’s Riverwalk.

👂 October is Audiology Awareness Month! 👂 Healthy hearing is an important foundation for a child’s speech, language, learning, and social development. If your child has not had their hearing evaluated by an audiologist since their newborn hearing screening, consider talking with an audiologist or Ear, Nose, Throat Specialist, about whether a comprehensive hearing evaluation is appropriate.

Audiologists also play an important role in evaluating children with concerns related to auditory processing. Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) can affect how a child processes and makes sense of auditory information, which may impact listening, learning, and academic success.

Cook & Connect: Sharing Culture and Language Through a Recipe

Some of my favorite memories with my grandmother are of cooking together. Preparing a meal was a chance to talk, learn, and spend time together. In many Hispanic families, cooking brings generations together and keeps family traditions alive.
