🌟A Wonderful First Day with Our
ACHE-Occupational Therapy Students!🌟

Today was our first day welcoming the ACHE-OT students to Legacy Heights/Memory Lane, and what a wonderful day it was!

They spent the day helping serve lunch, visiting with our residents, and assisting with activities. To start off our afternoon activities, we enjoyed a fun game of co****le together! We loved seeing the smiles, laughter, and connections made between our residents and the students.

After co****le, we continued the fun with Cooking Club! We made delicious strawberry shortcakes and enjoyed some refreshing strawberry juice. 🍓🍰 Everyone had a great time creating, sharing, and enjoying our sweet treats together!

Today was just the beginning! The students will be joining us every Friday for the next month as part of their aging fieldwork experience. We are so thankful they chose to spend this time with our residents and are excited for all the wonderful memories and connections to come.

We are truly honored and happy that we get to be a part of your learning experience and help make your time with us meaningful and memorable.
A huge thank-you to the students and their instructor for being so wonderful, enthusiastic, and helpful! You were all amazing, and we are already looking forward to your next visit. Also, thank you to Dawn Simpson from Project Compassion for all of your help today. We appreciate you!

A heartfelt thank you to Emma Markowski, Historian and Curator for the Chaffee Barbershop & Military Museum, for joining us and hosting a wonderful Antique Roadshow for our residents! ❤️

Emma brought fascinating pieces from the Chaffee Museum, along with special vintage treasures from her own personal collection. Our residents also enjoyed bringing in their own cherished pieces, sharing the stories behind them, and reminiscing about memories connected to their treasured items.

It was a beautiful afternoon filled with history, memories, storytelling, and plenty of smiles! 🕰️❤️

Thank you, Emma, for helping us bring the past to life and creating such a meaningful experience for our residents!

🌺🌴Hawaiian Bingo Bash!🌴🌺

Aloha! We had a little taste of paradise as we celebrated National Senior Citizens Day with our wonderful residents! 🌊🏖️

Our Hawaiian Bingo Bash was filled with lots of fun, laughter, and friendly competition! We played bingo with some fantastic prizes, and our residents got into the spirit with a Best Dressed Hawaiian Attire Competition-complete with a prize for our winner! Congratulations to our best dressed Hawaiian winner Harlene Jackson! 🩴👒👙

Of course, no celebration is complete without delicious refreshments! We enjoyed pineapple upside-down cupcakes, a cheeseball with crackers, and refreshing Hawaiian punch. 🍍🍒

We had a blast celebrating our amazing seniors! We are truly blessed to have an incredible community here at Legacy Heights/Memory Lane. Thank you to our staff and volunteers for making this event so special. Shout out to What’s Poppin, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Sweet Bay, and Kopper Kettle Candies for your prize donations. We appreciated you!🐚🏝️

✨Gorgeous Grandma Glamour Shots!✨

In honor of National Gorgeous Grandma Day on July 23rd, we treated our wonderful ladies to a fun-filled glamour photo session—and they absolutely stole the spotlight!💖

From beautiful smiles to stylish poses, each resident radiated confidence, grace, and joy. It was such a special afternoon celebrating the amazing women who inspire us every day with their kindness, strength, and timeless beauty.

To make the celebration even sweeter, everyone enjoyed a beautiful charcuterie board paired with refreshing pink lemonade while spending time together and making wonderful memories. 🧀🍓🍋

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to make this day so amazing. We hope these photos bring as many smiles to your faces as they brought to ours!

🍦 National Ice Cream Month was a sweet success! 🍦

Our residents had so much fun stopping by our homemade Ice Cream Cart to pick out their favorite frozen treat! Watching everyone smile as they picked their favorite ice cream was a wonderful reminder that life’s sweetest moments are often the simplest.

There were lots of smiles, laughter, and sweet memories shared along the way. We love creating fun experiences that make our community feel like home. ❤️
