He made his first visit to the office yesterday to work on some training and did so great! He has a long way to go but some of you may get to greet him and get some puppy loving when he makes some celebrity appearances!

I personally can’t tell you how many times I’ve encountered a student who wasn’t sure if they could even graduate from high school. Sometimes these encounters started in elementary or middle school. The odds stacked against them, insecurities, unsure of how to access resources, and zero love for learning. But they do it anyway and defeat the odds.

I’ve been in the field long enough now to see some elementary students walk across the stage. I always cheer (and sometimes cry) silently from the sidelines, always letting them they know they have another cheerleader rooting for them.
Keep going graduates. Dream big and don’t stop.
Congratulations Class of 2026. Well done. 🖤

For the mothers grieving their child.....

There are no words big enough for this kind of loss.
Mother’s Day may feel like a reminder of what should be, but isn’t.

You are still a mother.
Your love still exists.
And your child is still part of your story.

I know you can’t see this picture. So let me tell you.
One of our friends who came to wanted to take their time outside and use some sidewalk chalk. When asked what they wanted to do, they said “I want to write ‘Everybody Welcome’ where everyone can see it. So that’s what they did. A giant sign that everyone can see as they approach Olive Branch Counseling.

What a beautiful symbolic representation of what we are. Even kids know. They are welcome. You are welcome.
