Some of our WBHC team attended the Reclaimed Living annual dinner! What an incredible evening celebrating hope, recovery, and new beginnings!

We celebrated nearly one year of the Men's Recovery Home and the introduction of the new Women's Recovery Home, expanding the mission to provide faith-based recovery housing and support in Paulding County.

Guests were inspired by a powerful story from the founder of a women's recovery home, as well as heartfelt testimonies from past and current Drug Court participants.

The evening also recognized the many organizations, community partners, and dedicated professionals whose compassion and commitment continue to make a lasting difference for those served through Drug Court and Reclaimed Living.

One of the many amazing groups happening this summer is helping kids learn an important life skill—patience! 🌱

Group members recently planted grass seeds and began the process of growing their own mini grass gardens. We talked about how seeds need time, care, and consistency to grow, we connected that lesson to our own lives. Waiting can be hard, but patience helps us reach our goals, build healthy relationships, and manage big emotions.

Throughout the summer, we'll continue watching our grass grow while practicing patience, self-control, and perseverance together!

Our Zootopia Social Skills Group is off to a great start! 🦊🐰

This week, group members worked together to create their own group rules. Activities like this help children build responsibility, practice problem-solving skills, and feel ownership in creating a safe and supportive space for everyone.

One of our favorite moments came from a note written by a group member: "I love group because we do fun things."

Simple words, but a wonderful reminder that growth happens when kids feel connected, supported, and engaged.

This is just one of the many amazing groups happening for children and teens at WBHC this summer, helping children build social skills, emotional awareness, confidence, and healthy connections with others.

We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer holds for this wonderful group! 🌟

🦊🐰 This summer, our kids group is taking a trip to Zootopia!

From serving as the "Kindness Police" and catching friends doing kind things, to learning how to recognize emotions and work together as a team, our kids are building important skills while making connections and having fun.

This Zootopia adventure is just one of many kids groups happening this summer as we help children strengthen their mental health, build healthy relationships, and discover they are not alone.

We are so proud of the hard work these kids are doing and can't wait to see how they continue to grow! 🌟

As the school year comes to a close, our Westwood Behavioral Health kids and teen school-year groups are transitioning to our summer schedule! ☀️💙

This year, more than 80 children and teens participated in groups focused on building emotional regulation skills, confidence, connection, and community. We are so proud of the growth, courage, and support shown throughout the year by every participant. Transportation and snacks were provided for each group to make them accessible for all families.
