They are available on a first come, first serve basis. Please take as many as you need but be mindful of others.

Help support local families, on a schedule that works for you.

The Lewis County Health Department is hiring H.A.N.D.S. Home Visitor to work with new and expectant parents across Lewis County.

This is a flexible, contract position paid at $52 per completed visit. You set your availability, and your income is based on the number of visits you complete.

This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, caring, comfortable talking with families, and interested in helping parents and young children get off to a strong start.

Experience in social services, health care, education, childcare, family support, or a related field is helpful.

Why do we offer free test strips?

Because people deserve to stay alive.

There is a common misunderstanding that tools like test strips promote drug use. They do not. What they do is help prevent unintentional harm and overdoses.

Many substances today are mixed with powerful additives like fentanyl or xylazine, often without a person’s knowledge.

Test strips give people a chance to know what they’re facing.

At the Lewis County Health Department, our role is simple:
Prevent. Promote. Protect.
